I hope you had a fun Fourth of July holiday!\u00a0 For my family, the 4th of July celebration is extra special and significant.\u00a0 After 18 operations and 12 years of dialysis, my mother received a kidney transplant.\u00a0 The doctors told her that on average, kidneys from a deceased donor usually last around 10 years.\u00a0 However, immediately after her surgery, she began telling everyone, \u201cGod gave me this kidney, and nothing will ever happen to it!\u201d\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0As of this weekend, July 4th, 2020, her kidney is 27 years old and going strong!\u00a0 Doctors are always amazed each time they evaluate her.\u00a0 We continue to give God praise for all he has done!<\/p>\n
SPEAK FAITH-FILLED WORDS<\/b><\/p>\n
My mother is a woman of faith.\u00a0 She had prayed for years for her breakthrough and was confident that if God could bless her to receive it, he would bless her to keep it.\u00a0 She spoke exactly what she believed.\u00a0 Our words reflect what is in our heart.\u00a0 Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:13,<\/b>\u00a0\u201cIt is written: I believed; therefore I have spoken. Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak\u201d.<\/i>\u00a0 Jesus said in\u00a0Luke 6:35\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u201c… the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.\u201c<\/i><\/p>\n
BUILD YOUR FAITH<\/b><\/p>\n
For our hearts to become full of faith, we must be intentional and active in feeding our faith and starving our doubts.\u00a0 Trials, tests, and problems are inevitable, but God doesn\u2019t want us to fall apart.\u00a0 He wants us to be able to stand firm in the faith.\u00a0\u00a0I John 5:4<\/b>\u00a0says,\u00a0“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”<\/i>\u00a0 Building your faith requires effort and diligence – in essence, it requires work. \u00a0 In\u00a0John 6:29<\/b>\u00a0Jesus replied,\u00a0“This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger]”<\/i>.<\/p>\n
